Best Skincare for Moms’ Tired Skin

[ad_1]

I am a bit of a beauty and skincare junkie. If I wasn’t so in love with interior design and the charm of children’s decor, I’d most certainly be in the wellness, beauty or skincare space.

Skincare for Moms

Now that my kids are older, I look back and wish I took more time for myself, including my daily skincare regimen. As a busy mom self care is a must, so take it from my wiser self and start now. I am sharing the best skincare for moms that I’ve found for this one tired mama.

Favorite Skincare for Moms - Cleansing Balm

ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm trust me! Balms are the bomb. It’s the best way to dissolve makeup and impurities without stripping your skin of moisture. I can’t get enough of the sweet smell of rose from Elemis’ Pro-Collagen line. Give me all the collagen, people.

Favorite Skincare for Moms - Face Wash

Reflekt 1 Daily Exfoliating Face Wash has a permanent home in my shower. It’s just enough exfoliation to smooth but gentle enough to be used on my face daily. I heard about this gem from my biz partner Pam of 14 years! When we’re not talking about work, we scour the internet for the fountain of youth.

Lip Sleeping Mask

LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask must coat my lips before bed and is a staple in my nighttime regimen. They also hit Amazon Prime Day really hard this year so get on board fast, cause the secret must be out! Even my seven-year-old daughter, who sadly suffers from dry skin in the winter, is a total fan.

Skincare for Mothers - Moisturizer

Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb is solid but seriously lightweight. Creams can be really tricky and heavy on my hormonal skin, so I prefer to err on the side of caution and use a gel cream with maximum hydration. I am all about lightweight creams now that I am into oils, which is the next tip below.

Skincare for Mothers - Face Oil

Sunday Riley C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C and Turmeric Face Oil is a thing. It literally took me years to feel okay about placing an oil on my formally oily skin, but oils really do work. It’s hydrating and brightening (always get the vitamin C) and looks great under that much needed concealer (this is my favorite concealer), which is why I oil up every morning over a moisturizer, hands down.

Brightening Vitamin C Serum

I Dew Care Brightening Vitamin C Serum because those matte days are long gone! It’s all about appearing bright and dewy at all times now. There are a million serums on the market right now, but this notorious K-beauty brand (yet super affordable) is here to keep us looking fresh and vibrant.

Acne Treatment

Murad Outsmart Acne Clarifying Treatment is everything you need in your arsenal for blackheads and emerging pimples. Unfortunately, good skincare for moms still includes a great acne treatment. Just dab onto your troublesome spots a couple days per week to help keep your acne at bay. I particularly like this brand for sensitive skin. My teen has had to take more Benadryl this year before school for his swollen red face from harsh acne cleansers and this is the only product that does the trick without any irritation.

Firming Oil

Esker Firming Body Oil or Esker Uplifting Belly Oil (Pregnancy) is a real treat. The good news is, you don’t even have to be pregnant to enjoy this lovely body oil to replace your daily body moisturizer to deliver soft glowing skin. On the plus side, they cater to expecting mamas too, which has us most impressed.

While I am no Bethenny Frankel, who by the way kills me with her beauty product commentary in the very best way possible, these are some of my favorite skincare for moms that I personally love. Let’s face it, when my my skin glows on a good day, it’s just one less thing to worry about. I’d love to hear what you think! Feel free to share your own mom skincare tips and tricks below.

If pregnant or breastfeeding, make sure to talk to your doctor before adding new skincare products to your regimen.
